This is why I don’t like my step-dad’s family, among other reasons. They treat me like a stereotypical girl. Whenever they buy us things, I always get perfume and shit, and my brother gets the video games. They don’t let me play basketball with them because I’m a girl.
Now, I’m very happy with my gender and heterosexuality, but I don’t conform with the everything-is-pink-and-fancy-let-me-make-you-a-sammich stereotype. Stop treating me like I should. Why can’t I wear a dress and play Xbox? Why can’t I wear make-up and swear like a sailor?
